Overview

A biomedical researcher and Ph.D. candidate specializing in reproductive physiology, reproductive toxicology, and translational biomedical research.

About

Adisa Florence is a biomedical researcher and Ph.D. candidate in Physiology with a strong interest in reproductive physiology, reproductive toxicology, and translational biomedical research. She holds a Master of Technology in Physiology, where her research investigated the protective effects of omega-3 fatty acids against methamphetamine-induced testicular damage in Wistar rats.

As a Research Assistant at Anchor Biomedical Research Institute, she contributes to experimental design, laboratory investigations, biostatistical analysis, manuscript preparation, and scientific reporting. She also plays an active role in mentoring Industrial Training (IT) students by delivering training in Microsoft Excel, statistical analysis, research design, spectrophotometry, colorimetry, and ELISA, while supervising their practical laboratory activities and assessments.

Her technical expertise includes experimental animal handling, statistical analysis, biochemical and hormonal assays, and scientific communication. She is committed to advancing biomedical research through innovation, collaboration, and evidence-based scientific inquiry.

Florence is also dedicated to continuous professional development, having earned multiple CITI Program certifications in Good Laboratory Practice, Responsible Conduct of Biomedical Research, Research Ethics, Statistical Analysis, Medical Marijuana Research, Social Media and Research Recruiting, and Safe Research Environments.
