Prof. A. F. Ajayi

Professor Ajayi Ayodeji Folorunsho is a distinguished academic and researcher with over two decades of experience in teaching, research, and community service. He graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and obtained a Master of Technology degree in Reproductive Physiology. He also holds an MSc and Ph.D. in Human Physiology from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. After completing his Ph.D. program, he acquired a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree. Professor Folorunsho has authored numerous publications in reputable international journals and has presented papers at conferences worldwide.

Professor Folorunsho is currently a Professor of Reproductive Physiology at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Nigeria. He has held various academic and administrative positions, including Head of Department, Dean of Faculty at different universities, and Director of Research. He is also the Founder and Director of Anchor Bioned Research Institute, Ogbomoso, Nigeria.

Professor Folorunsho's research interests span Reproductive Physiology, Endocrinology, Gastrointestinal Physiology, Nutrition, and Bioinformatics. He has conducted extensive research on the effects of drug abuse on different systems of the body and has published numerous papers in international journals. His research has focused on the influence of different drugs of abuse on fertility and public health.

Professor Folorunsho is a dedicated mentor and has supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate students. He has also mentored several junior academics and researchers, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their career goals. His mentoring values emphasize confidentiality, respect, authenticity, and reciprocity, and he is committed to helping his mentees develop their research and academic skills.

Professor Folorunsho has received several awards and honors for his contributions to research and academia. His recent award was the "Outstanding Scholarly Publications Award" from the Vice Chancellor of LAUTECH in April, 2025.
